The Challenge
A residential plan of 550 square metres in Dubai, turned around a courtyard tree that is visible from most of the ground floor.
Design Approach
The tree stands in a glass-sided light well at the centre of the plan, so the living room, the dining table and the stair all borrow from it. Materials stay quiet - pale stone, warm timber, soft upholstery - and the planting supplies the colour.
